Walk for the Memorial at Babi Yar Park

Sponsored by the Harvard Square Retirement Community, the Walk for the Memorial is an important, commemorative effort to raise funds for a new September 11 Memorial at Babi Yar Park, using materials recovered from the World Trade Center in New York.

All walk participants will receive a goody bag with water bottle, pedometer, sunscreen, a commemorative bracelet and a ticket for free admission to the Mizel Museum’s exhibit 4,000 Year Road Trip: Gathering Sparks. Non-walkers are welcome – please bring a donation and enjoy the cookout!

Babi Yar Park is a project of the Mizel Museum, The Babi Yar Park Foundation and Denver Parks & Recreation. It is a 27-acre refuge with a panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains. The park’s memorial landscape seeks to reflect, encourage and motivate an internationally inspired awakening of consciousness and humanity, inspiring tolerance and appreciation for life and the recognition of the similarities and hopes of all people.
