February 22nd Event a Big Success5,000 educators, middle, high school and college students attended this fascinating and intriguing program at the Wells Fargo Theater. Students heard a reading from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s book co-authored by Anthony Walton, Brothers in Arms: The Epic Story of the 761st Tank Battalion, WWII’s Forgotten Heroes, before a rousing entrance by the Montbello Drummers prior to Mr. Abdul-Jabbar’s speech. The program was presented by The Mizel Museum, Facing History and Ourselves and the Denver Mayor’s Office for Education and Children.
