4000 Year Road Trip: Gathering Sparks

November 2009 — Staff collaboration for the Mizel Museum’s new exhibition began in June 2009 and is currently in development for a spring 2010 opening. The exhibition will highlight the resilience of the Jewish people throughout history, their crucial dedication to preserving and continuing their own culture, and their commitment to the betterment and progression of the entire world. The new exhibition, “4000 Year Road Trip: Gathering Sparks,” will reflect Jewish culture and its values manifested within today’s global matrix. In the Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah, the job of gathering sparks is the original conception of Tikkun Olam, (repairing the world).The themes of resilience and world repair will also be emphasized throughout this celebratory ‘road trip’.
