MONDAY, MARCH 19 – The Mizel Museum and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus are co-presenting A Fine Romance, a traveling exhibition that tells the story of Jewish composers, including Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern and George Gershwin, who made indelible contributions to the American popular music repertoire. The best composers of this period combined a genius for melody and a talent for finding the perfect words. A large number of them were Jewish, from families who immigrated to America in the 1800s, or had fled persecution in Europe. At 4:00pm The Colorado Hebrew Chorale will perform a variety of songs from the American songbook.
TIME: 4:00 pm
LOCATION: Research 2 Building Trivisible Room
