Symbiosis: An exhibit illustrating the complex relationship
between human beings and the natural world.

In a thought-provoking exhibition, opening January 31, 2008, the Mizel Museum presents the work of three artists committed to enhancing man’s relationship to nature, the animal kingdom and humankind. Symbiosis: Cultural Alarm, Buddhist Animal Wisdom Stories, and Evolution presents the work of Tamar Hirschl, Mark McGinnis and Deborah Callan, three artists employing vastly different mediums to convey a common message. By exploring the story of universal compassion and humanity, Symbiosis, through multi-levels of art, unites the deeply-held Jewish concepts of caring for animals and the environment with the concerns of cultures worldwide.
