2014 Summer Camp: No Strings Attached: Puppets and Masks From Around the World

Dates: June 9-13 (9 am -noon) // Ages: 5-10 // Cost: $175/camper ($160 for Boulder JCC members)

Join local puppeteer, Betsy Tobin, who will guide kids on a fun, interactive tour of puppet and mask traditions from around the world. Campers will sketch, design and create their own finder puppets, rod puppets, Chinese dragon puppets and Indonesian shadow puppets. They will also make simple masks inspired by African and Mexican masks and learn basics of masked acting and puppetry to bring their characters to life!

  • draw and create with confidence
  • develop fun characters
  • focus their minds and bodies

This camp is designed for:

  • kids interested in drawing, crafting and puppetry!
  • outgoing and shy kids
  • kids ages 5-10 (age limits are flexible; please call with questions)
