Sharona Grinsteiner, mentor/educator
A Jewish educator who has worked with children and adults of all ages, Sharona was born and raised in Israel of Yemenite descent. She brings a direct and creative approach to learning combined with abundant warmth and welcome. She has taught in many classrooms and camp settings and especially loves working with young children, exposing them to the richness of Jewish culture, literature and language.

Join Israeli educator, Sharona Grinsteiner, on an imaginary journey through several award-winning picture books. Using nationally-acclaimed books such as Bagels for Benny, It Could Always Be Worse and Joseph Had a Little Overcoat, children will literally "jump" into these stories through creative dramatics, zany art projects and even some cooking. Did someone say bagels?! This camp will keep kids jumping with special guest artists dropping by for storytelling and music.
Jewish Journeys Around the World: On The Road Again!

Sharona Grinsteiner takes children on a fun-filled journey through the diversity of the Jewish people. Sharona will be the travel-guide as children learn about the customs and cultures of Jews from far-away places such as Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Yemen, Morocco, Russia and South America. Come and experience the many stories, foods, costumes and cultures of the places where Jews have lived. This global journey will include: story-telling, art projects, language learning, cooking, treasure hunts, music and more!
