  Call For Objects
The Mizel Museum is seeking objects, artifacts and contemporary artwork for its new, permanent exhibition, 4,000 Year Road Trip: Gathering Sparks, slated for opening Fall 2010. Mizel Museum curator, Georgina Kolber, is searching for privately owned Jewish objects, Jewish artifacts and or contemporary Jewish artwork to enhance an exciting new exhibition about Jewish life and culture that will bring cultural awareness to local citizens and visitors. The museum is particularly interested in ritual objects about Torah stories, haggadot or sidurrim of unusual derivation, objects from Crypto-Jews, Jewish pioneer pieces and unique objects that tell the story of the Diaspora.

digital storytelling   Mizel Museum Digital Storytelling Project
In Fall 2008, The Mizel Museum began to build a permanent exhibit of digital stories with members of the Denver Jewish community. We worked with the Center for Digital Storytelling to create a new permanent exhibit with members of the Denver Jewish community. Stories of Resilience was conceived as part of an exploration and interpretation of resilience from the perspective of the storyteller. Framed within the context of resilience, the workshop focused on the life-changing events by creating a narration of how those perceptions altered the participant’s lives. For more information about digital storytelling email the museum, or click below to view the Stories of Resilience.
